I give Hill credit, it wasn't the funniest thing I've seen, but many ball players would not even take that chance to be funny. If his ERA and WHIP were lower, I bet you many more people would have found that hilarious.

I found it pretty tolerable. I definitely enjoy that he took the chance to do something different, the content was just a poor choice. The fact that he pulled that off so well is a testament to how insufferable the movie was.

Agreed. Vasgersian is solid. Maybe those who are negative toward him are still thinking of his younger days a few years ago. He was a lot more brash back then, but he is very solid now. Quick on his feet. Good baseball acumen.

Anyone have Dempster's video from when he did the lineups in his Harry Carey voice? I thought that was better. I still applaude Rich Hill for the effort, even though I found that movie to be God awful.

I think he's ok, although I've never seen why he's 'so amazing he doesn't need a color man'. There are probably plenty of commentators who could go without a color man if the network didn't see fit to hire one.

the last time i heard vasgersian call a walk off was when rob bowen (of all people...) homered to end a padres/cubs game last year in Petco. i don't recall if he said that, because i was too busy yelling at the tv/dusty baker for one stupid thing or another. i think that was one of the games that saw Fast Freddie Bynum drop a flyball in LF.
