The Braves signed him in the offseason-they then cut him in May. He's on the DL at AAA Charlotte in the White Sox organization now.

This Brewers-Pirates game has been a pretty long one-still only 4 innings done. The Brewers have actually not only made Gallardo a reliever, but they've announced that he's their official "long" reliever. It might help today, but the long reliever should not normally be one of the best pitchers on the team. It shouldn't even be one of the best relievers on the team.
