RIP Shooter.

Like many others I thought he was in his mid 40's at least and couldn't believe he was only 38. Either way, it's still too young.

This pic and caption from the tribune made me LMAO!

and the caption

San Diego Padres pitcher Rod Beck fills out an injury history form during the team's physicals for pitchers and catchers at their spring training facility in Peoria, Arizona.

How could you not love this guy? RIP Shooter.

You're wasting your breath (and Tim's bandwith).

:?:

That was directed at me in response to something I said of a comment that IMB made. Check rants, if you want. But it really is a waste of time.

I'm sad that thread is closed.

I don't think any of us will ever forget this performance...

GIANTS 9TH: Mayne singled to right; Mueller singled to center

[Mayne to third]; MULHOLLAND REPLACED TAPANI (PITCHING); Javier

singled to left [Mayne scored, Mueller to second]; BURKS BATTED

FOR DUNSTON; Burks walked [Mueller to third, Javier to second];

SANCHEZ RAN FOR BURKS; Bonds lined out on a sacrifice fly to

right [Mueller scored, Javier to third]; BECK REPLACED

MULHOLLAND (PITCHING); Kent forced Sanchez (shortstop to second)

[Javier scored]; Carter popped to first; 3 R, 3 H, 0 E, 1 LOB.

Giants 3, Cubs 5.

RIP

I forgot how close that got at the end. If I was as jaded as I am now back then I would've been expecting us to lose, back then I knew they were going to win throughout the whole inning.

He had absolutely nothing in the tank during that outing either. I think that pitch he got Carter to pop out on was like 64 mph. I'm not sure he broke 80 that inning.

Nah Vance, don't do that. The memories surrounding the autographs you have surely outweigh the monetary value they hold.

I was being a bit facetious.

While I've given away and traded a few, I've yet to sell anything.

Of course I do have an extra Sosa autographed ball and now that he's hit 600....hmmm.....

You could make some extra money to take to Hooters.
