One of my best friends growing up was named after Nolan Ryan. Clemens has never been anywhere close to worshiped like Ryan was. Of course now Ryan makes his mark building minor league stadiums throughout Texas. He could probably make a successful run for Governor if he wanted to.

Not that I know that much about them, but I think the 21s that have become popular by pitchers (for example, Beckett) are also because of Clemens.
