It is very difficult for me to not root for a player named Sean.

I hope Smarzjrdaioera starts to show at least baby-step-like improvements.

So this marks yet another year that the Chiefs will leave CR without me making it to a game. Stupid kids always having things going on...

Chiefs are actually back in CR on July 7-9. We're planning on making the drive up for at least the Sat/Sun, and (depending on my husband's work schedule) perhaps Monday too. Hope to see you then :)

Samardzija with yet another awful outing: 4 IP, 9 hits, 6 runs, 1 K/1 BB. Daytona trails it 6-3 in the 5th. Dope hit his 2nd HR with Daytona in the 2nd. He also had a sac fly in the 4th.

Gallagher allows a single but Ks the side the in the 1st.

Craig with a leadoff double in the 2nd, then scores on a Spearman bunt single + throwing error.

3-0 Smokies so far in the 2nd ... 4-0 Smokies as Spearman scores on a strange series of plays / non-plays that would take too long to explain.

listening to the Smokies game tonight made me wish we were going to be able to get down there this year. Glad to see Sean doing so well - he sounded overpowering tonight. Woo hoo!

Pie only 1-4 so far....he'll have to get that average up to .500 before the morons finally decide to cut Jockstrap and bring up Pie full time for CF.

I think it is hilarious and awesome that Sean dominated the DJaxx tonight. I know how unappreciated he was by some (not all) in West Tenn last year. good for him. Iowa cant be that far from him....

Iowa won 5-4. Fontenot was 2/4 with two doubles and a BB. Cedeno was 2/2 with a double and two walks. His average is now up to .305. Felix was 1/5. EPatt struggled as he went 0/5 with 2 strikeouts. Scott Moore hit his 4th HR of the season. Piggy and Cherry both worked the 9th to preserve the victory. Piggy's ERA is now down to 1.02.

Daytona's final score was 13-4.
