He was healthy last year and is healthy now.

no he isnt. story on cubs.com. he is having issues still with cramping.

It's a freaking cramp, not a health issue. And it's in his leg.

i really think you will see Guzman as the new closer next week.

his medical problems are going to preclude him from being a starter and they dont seem to be able to get it fixed.

with marmol up now and miller back next week, just makes the most sense. think its going to be cotts and wuertz setting up Angel.

What medical problems? He's been fine the past two seasons. He cramped up earlier this week - just like Z has multiple times over the years.

Yay Dempster!

Why did we need to remove Murton for JJ? Murton's arm isn't very good for a RFer, but his range and routes are much better than JJ's.

did you miss the 9th inning yesterday?

murton should have made the dp, but double clutched the ball.

So you're going to put the rally off on him? I stated that his arm wasn't very good, but I'll take his range with nobody on over JJ's strong arm that spikes every throw into the ground.

jj is a much better fielder. he cover quite a bit of ground. i really disagree with you. but thats ok... cubs win

Dempster's BAA is .191? Is that right?

That's not bad guys.

But walking 2 guys with a 4 run lead is.

True.

I think on the whole he's been pretty good this year with his stuff at least.

I agree he hasn't been that bad but yesterday was a bad one.

no. plenty of blame to go around.

i blame our bench coach the most for having Theriot (who has little range) being out of position for a DP ball that would have given us the game. If you look at mets.com and Delgado's ground ball chart, leaves little wonder where Ryan should have been and clearly wasnt.

You still suck Demp

After every save (consecutive) you should remove a little bit of the red cirle/cross through. Like in Major League.

Man, I just get a split-second flash of a topless cut-out of Dempster.

Gah.

Arms and legs both.

IT'S A CRAMP.

It was in his forearm last year and leg this year. It's a cramp. Not an injury.

I saw Demp at a Bulls game with a Hinrich jersey on with no shirt under. Not pretty very white, crazy Canadian.

No. Just his right leg.

Staying hydrated: Angel Guzman, who had to leave Thursday's game because of cramps in his right hamstring, was examined by a doctor Friday. He was told the same thing he's been told for the last few years: Drink water.

"They said keep drinking water and eat bananas -- that's all," Guzman said.

Guzman had problems with cramps in his forearm last year, and it forced him out of a start. The right-hander is still waiting for that first big-league win. He was close Thursday, but the bullpen couldn't hold a four-run lead.

"I know the guys in the bullpen and trust them to get the job done," Guzman said. "I trust them."

its a recurring medical problem that has happened throughout his career. some guys have blisters, some guys have cramping issues...just saying that it makes more sense to use him in short runs vs. long runs if they cant get it fixed.

Still can't win those 1 run games.

Unclutch.

Nice comeback win here for them, both in this game and from last night.

The key? Cubs OBP roughly .345, CWS OBP roughly .235.

He who gets on base more wins more. Unlike the Phillies and Mets, the White Sox are a bad offensive ballclub. The Cubs should be in every game.

It would be interesting to see what happens Monday or Tuesday if the Cubs take 2 of 3 or sweep. Do they still have massive changes?
