Chicago Cubs Vs. Jon Lieber

Yeesh... Look for Floyd to start this game. Ramirez and Lee, looking good, as always. Jones also looking good. May also be a great day to get Daryle Ward some playing time, especially for offensive reasons. May be a good day to give Blanco some playing time, also... Both him and Barrett look okay against him.

It may be tough to shuffle the outfield, tomorrow. Each of Floyd, Jones, Ward have success against Jon.... and I dont think Lou will take out Soriano.

Philadelphia Phillies Vs. Ted Lilly

Match-ups are to our advantage. They shouldnt let this one slip by...

Between the Cubs getting swept today, and the Bulls getting eliminated, it should be a fantastic day in Chicago Sports.

Dang, no hockey until tonight. :D

I'll watch but I think I'll kill the sound and listen to some metal instead. Fight pain with pain.

So as I prepare to head out to the game, has everyone given up on the season yet?

Unless the Brewers come back down to earth in a hurry, yes. We are going to hover around .500 which I thought would be enough to compete in the Central, but I didn't consider a fast start by the Brewers.

I like it. I'm glad that Howard is out of the lineup again, but it's not like the Phil's are missing him in this series.

I'm just not excited whenever I see Murton in the lineup anymore, he's been awful.

Same here..Except for yesterday with the pinch hit HR, otherwise Im not really into him like most of the murton fan club on here.

Murton's been playing a little better, and Floyd's swings have been getting a little worse (early in the season, most of Floyd's outs were screaming line drives, and he's been striking out and grounding weakly out a lot lately). This will probably continue through the season-whoever is swinging a little better will get the majority of at-bats for that week or two. Murton will pass Floyd in plate appearances either today or tomorrow, and I expect that statistic to continue to see-saw a little while longer.
