Holy crap, am I glad the Cubs didn't take a stab at the kid with a 100 mph, a knee-locking curve ball, and absolutely no idea where either one is going. Here are his minor-league stats since signing with the D'backs:

1-4, 17.18 ERA, 36.2 IP, 35 H, 2 HR, 103 BB, 46 K, 54 WP

If that's not the worst pitching line I've ever seen, it's gotta be pretty damn close. I understand the excitement about the rare arm and everything, but really, after 3 years of having no clue how to throw strikes at Georgia Tech, would you really feel good spending a 3rd round pick and $500,000 on him? This isn't Rich Hill, struggles-some-because-he-walks-too-many bad (from the minor leagues), this is can't-even-pitch-in-a-competitive-ballgame bad. Yikes.

That was weird. I saw the thread title and thought, "What?" because there's somone in my grade named Jason Nebergall.

has anyone seen this guy pitch? I mean, he must be missing the strike zone by miles, right? I can't imagine it's fun to step into the box against him unless you're wearing full armor.

I'm curious how someone who throws that hard and is that wild can manage to give up nearly a hit an inning, including two home runs in less than 40 innings. Did he really throw enough strikes to allow that many hits? You'd think that either A) hitters wouldn't feel comfortable in the box against him or B) they'd just go up there with a bat on their shoulder knowing that there's a good chance they'll reach base if they don't swing the bat.

I'm sure that kid can be a better pitcher than this guy.

Just imagine if you had a whole team full of Jason Neighborgalls:

My God that is bad.

Team batting line of 161/224/202 (426 OPS?!?!?)

BAA of .445!

.908 fielding %

Around 1.5 runs scored versus an average of 14 runs again

Team ERA of 16.67

One of the team's starting infielders is 6-for-105 with no extra base hits, and he's made 23 errors.

This has to be the worst baseball team ever assembled.
