That's a pretty big guy to be hurting so bad from taking a foul off the noggin.

Unless he's Bonds, being big doesn't make taking a baseball off the back of the head any easier.

I didn't complain that much when I was hit with a bat.

hard to complain when you're unconcious

For fear of being banned by the alliance?

If that happens I'll just have to make an album with Franklin.

Either that or take part in a series of escalating dares and get married to Amy Poehler.

Plus there's always GOBIAS, Inc

I just spent all of March rewatching my Arrested Development DVDs... but I'm getting a real urge to start back over with Season one later today.

That error hurts.

Once again, I find myself wondering what possible reason Lou has for playing our LF in RF, and a person whose skillset matches that of a RF in LF.

THANK YOU.

I just wish we had another masher who we could stick out there in rightfield. One who hits 45 homers a year so we could live with subpar defense.

Time to drive home from work. When I get there and turn the game on, I expect to see an 8-run bottom half.

How come you get to leave work early?

Mercy rule.

If Murton is so limited that he can't play both corner positions at 25 years old, he really is a AAAA player. Edited by Elrhino

What the hell murton. Hes always been pretty sure handed.

Not really. Plus, he's playing out of position.

Out of position? It's a routine fly ball for god sakes.

Murton has no business in RF. Period. Neither does Floyd. We have too many LFers and no RFers.

We basically have to shut them down from here on out...I don't see us scoring much more than 6...(honestly...I don't see us scoring 6)

No, not really.

He's having to learn the position on the fly, he will make mistakes.

And no CFers

That fly ball had nothing to do with playing out of position. Neither did the first one, really. The guys is an OF he should catch a routine flyball and keep balls that drop in front of him from getting past him.

Regardless, if you can't catch routine fly balls you have no business playing the outfield. Don't give excuses that was a bad play.

Well, if Z didn't walk the guy with 2 outs, that play would've never happened. Walks kill.

Not as much as dropped routine flyballs. They are big leaguers.

The only real difference between the 2 is the need for arm strength in RF. Murton dropped a can of corn.

Holy...

You mean, there's actually another person on this board that realizes Soriano playing out of position isn't helping the team?

Freddy Sanchez HBP.

Jose Bautista doubles to RF, Sanchez to third base.

Jason Bay pops a double to shallow RF, Sanchez and Bautista score. 2-0 Pirates.

Ryan Doumit singles to CF, Bay to third base.

Xavier Nady hits a sac fly to LF, Bay scores. One out, 3-0 Pirates.

Errant pickoff throw by Z, Doumit advances to second base.

Adam LaRoche flies out to CF. Two outs.

Ronny Paulino strikes out looking. Three outs.

I'm not giving excuses. All of our OFers can't play defense. Murton is one of them that falls into this category. Blame Hendry for signing all LFers and not one RFer. Murton has been terrible today, no excuse but again, we have no RFer.

Yeah, but he doesn't want to play 2B anymore.

I really wish we could trade Jones + a couple of good minor league arms to the Yanks for Abreu. I know, I know - never happen.
