And giving credit when its due, Ohman did not suck today.

On an 11 man staff he has to suck it up and get rightys out. He would have had Cesar not dropped the ball. But he did get the 2 lefties out and wasnt even close to walking anyone.

Without dempster for the next few days, everyone in the pen is going to have to be on their game and the starters are going to have to pitch into the seventh for us to have a chance.

Ohman's been good for a while now. He seems to have righted the ship that was such a disaster earlier. Are you conceding that he exists now?

No actually he hasnt been. He has given up 3 runs in his last 4 IP. And his BAA, BB, and Whip totals are still really high.

Never said he didnt exist. I said loogys didnt exist, and they still dont.

Just waiting for someone to say Lou misuses Ohman while we are on an 11 man (or even 10) man staff this next week. My head might esplode.

Wow, really? Which games? I'm asking in all seriousness, because I think I missed them all.

SD and Seattle.

Can look at his game log here:

OK, now I remember the Seattle game...I remember being pissed that he was in for so long. LOOGY or not issue aside, he shouldn't be out there for more than an inning most of the time. On the upside, he's continuing to strikeout guys and his walks are way down, especially if you look at that long outing as an exception. I still think he's doing a LOT better now and I really don't worry seeing him come out. He's definitely not deserving of still being lumped in with Eyre.

Eyre has been a lot better than Ohman in June. They are both doing better lately, and they both are still our most questionable relievers (soon to be our 2nd and 3rd most questionable when somebody comes up from the minord on Monday).

Yeah, I just looked up Eyre and was suprised at his June numbers. I guess I've just tuned him out when he's come in.
