Buzz Bissinger writing a book about the Cubs

I haven't heard this anywhere else, I found it buried in a Dayton Daily News Article.

 

Friday morning lights

 

Ken Griffey Jr. probably won't get any positive paragraphs in a book author Buzz Bissinger (Friday Night Lights) is writing about the Cubs.

 

Bissinger rudely interrupted a private conversation Griffey was holding Friday morning by saying, without preamble or introductions, "Talk to me. Now. I only have 20 minutes."

 

When Griffey rightfully upbraided Bissinger, the author walked away grumbling under his breath about disrespect and Griffey followed him to the clubhouse door and said, "No, YOU disrespected ME."

Ugh, I hate this idea. Three Nights in August was awful, and the last thing I want is this clown writing a book about the Cubs, which I'm sure will feature many lovely references to a 100 year World Series drought and curses galore.

...and supposedly it's getting made into a movie. Kevin Pollack bought the rights.
