THE DON through 3 innings has given up 3ER with 6BB.

Ugh. 3 IP, 3 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 6 BB, 1 WP, 1 balk

Peoria down 1-0 after 1. Lansford finally gets his second hit of the season and gets his BA over .100 (.125), but it's a double, so he's slugging .375.

Tennessee loses 5-2. Gallagher: 5 IP, 4 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 HBP

Not a great overall line, but he only walked one. The increase in his BB rate after his promotion last year had been the concern going into this season, so it's good to see that he's throwing strikes in his starts so far.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Also, he only had one bad inning today. I'm definitely much more disappointed with Veal - he's struggling to make up for his lack of control (he was able to dance around it at Peoria and Daytona and Sean was able to avoid too many problems at West Tenn last season despite the control issues).

Tennessee down 3-1 after 3 innings. Jake Fox with an RBI double.

Only one walk for Donnie in the fourth: 4 IP, 3 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 7 BB, 1 WP

Mike Cooper gives up a run so far in the bottom of the 8th and Vero Beach leads it 4-3.

Peoria tied at 1 in the middle of the third inning. Josh Lansford is 2 for 2 with 2 double.

Muldowney: 2 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 3 K, 0 BB

Gotta love our pitching prospects. Half of them walk everyone. The other half can't strike anyone out. Beautiful.

After 2 starts?

Tennessee loses 5-1. Chris Walker went 2 for 3, Jake Fox and Matt Craig each had a double.

Peoria loses game two too, 2-1. Muldowney gets the CG - 6 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 8 K, 2 BB, 1 HR. Muldowney has 17 Ks in 11 IP this season. Josh Lansford went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles.

Needing a triple to hit for the cycle, Colvin strikes out swinging in the 7th inning.

What a loser:) We will just have to trade him.

Muldowney must be doing something different this year. He did not strike out so many batters last year.

Haha, the announcers just compared Tyler Colvin to Grady Sizemore. Colvin got a single and SB in the fifth. He's now 3 for 3 and a triple shy of the cycle.

Daytona leads it 3-2 in the middle of the 5th.

This is Colvin's first game batting since game number 1 right? If so, that's a great very, very early start-5 for 6 with 2 SB and 1 HR.

No, he played both games yesterday, going 1/7 with a double and K.

I love the Sizemore comparison. My guess is Colvin would have to severely overachieve to be Sizemore. I see him at his best as a perfect median between Mark Kotsay and Sizemore.

I'd take that.

he doesnt (at least hasnt shown it) walk enough to be grady sizemore. grady looks to walk 90-100 times a year the next 12 years. Colvin does not have that many walks since high school - summer college seasons included.

He didnt really play much in the summers, never in a high profiled college leagues and his walk total will increase with pitch recognition and he's got 3 stolen bases already, got a chance to be a pretty good player especially between Kotsay/Sizemore, not bad for being ranked # 178!
