And another great win! Cubs will stay in Las Vegas to face the Mariners. This time they will be the home team.

This game will be available on CSN Chicago (Dont worry, Dan Plesac has had his last broadcast) and you can also listen in on WGN 720 or XM187.

i don't know if it's rare or not, but it's pretty odd to see a pair of mediocre pitchers like this have that amount of success over the batters they're facing (though in admittedly small sample sizes).

Isn't Ramirez one of the very mediocre to crappy pitchers that have had the great pleasure of completely shutting down the Cubs?

I sure hope Lou doesn't put Jacque back into the #2 spot against another lefty...

Well-this is going to be an NL game, so I doubt that even if the Cubs went with their regular lineup that Jacque would be at #2 (since Floyd shouldn't be in the game). It will be interesting to see how the Cubs structure the lineup though if they do face a left-hander while using the DH during the regular season. That should maybe only happen once or twice the whole season though-and I can't really see too many other scenarios during the season where Jones and Floyd will be playing at the same time against a left-hander.

That should only happen if Murton and Theriot are both hurt.

How do y'all find the gameday links?

Actually, someone has been creating them using a bookmarked link with updated date and team info. Hopefully, when the season starts, MLB will make it easier to find on its front page and or the front page of the individual team sites.

The links are on the front page now, and also on the scoreboard page. They just don't become available until a few hours before gametime.

It's up now, if you go to the scoreboard page. Lineups are there too - and The Riot is batting 2nd.

They're available on MLB.com now, like the last game, right?

I would still switch to CBS Sportsline. Gamday is too flashy, slow... and their new update doesnt help. CBS Sportsline is straight up information.

Are they? I wasn't around last night so I didn't see them... It wasn't around on Thursday when I looked.

Thanks for the update that the lineup is up. The lineup makes sense-everybody who played the full game last night (Jones, DeRosa, Izturis, Barrett) are all sitting today, while everybody who got replaced during the game is back in the lineup.

Ron talking to Piniella

- Really enjoys watching Lee hit.

- Need for Soriano to pick things up. Had a good day yesterday.

- Likes Jacque, wants to see him "Cut it loose" more in RF.. gonna use him in the 5th hole.

-Sometimes in a 2-hole when Floyd is in?

-Last year Cedeno's OBP was .270... I said "Son, that should be your batting average" Gave advice, and he improved.

- 1 Concern with Lilly, he is a fly ball pitcher.. but we got guys that can hit it out, too.

- Lilly has been working on hiding the ball well, working on change-up, nice curve.

- Lilly had attitude (after he HR) and he liked it.

- Using a DH today... sorry Marquis.

- Needed to get bigger names in the line-up.

- Larry has helped Marquis a lot, helps him sink the ball more.

Larry is going to be POed his pitchers aren't getting ABs.

I don't understand. Why are we sacrificing ABs for a pitcher (lord knows they need them) just so Walker can get time?

And why is Ward playing in RF when he should be the DH and Soriano should be using every opportunity he has to work on his defense.

True, since Walker isnt making it. It'd make more sense to have Floyd as DH again and Soriano working on his fielding in CF.

Something I don't get...Rothschild has been here for a long time now, helping Angel Guzman..Piniella jsut gets here and is working with Guzman and he gave him that advice last week about standing a different way on the mound, more to the right I think, and said it would be tougher on righties to hit him. You would think, Rothschild after how long coaching Guzman would have told him this and helped him out.Nope.Piniella comes right in and notices and helps Guzman out.Larry never recognized it.
