I only saw the last few innings, but it sure did seem that the ump was calling a very wide strike zone - he was giving Weaver all sorts of pitches on the outside. I'm sure he was doing the same for the Cubs, but my bias blinded me.

 

The ump was Doug Eddings - go figure.
