Didn't his primary competition for the job (Lee) just retire? Pretty bad when you lose your shot at a starting gig to DY.

Remember when Travis Lee was once a surefire-lock future superstar? He went from being the second overall pick in 1996 draft, to hitting .363/.473/.690 with more more walks than strike outs in high A and .300/.387/.573 after being promoted to AAA in his first year year of pro ball. He followed that up by hitting 22 home runs with a .346 OBP in his rookie year, finishing 3rd in the ROY voting as a 23 year old. He was about as close to a sure thing that you could get. And then he turned into Sid Bream. Weird.

That's right. Can't image the list of potential suitors is long though.
