did you see this Raisin?

Billy Petrick, who was once a highly-thought-of prospect after he had a very good year in 2004 at Lansing, pitched in the AA game. There's a photo of him below. He's spent most of the last two years hurt, and now at nearly 25 is just hanging on. He's a big guy -- 6-6 -- and throws really hard, but much of the time he doesn't really have very good command. He threw two innings and gave up one run, and then someone named Roberto Sotolongo came in.

also has a picture of him.

Really hoping Billy can keep it together this season.

Was about to come quote that, actually. Billy is 22, not 25, and he's not just hanging on - yet.

Glad to see he's pitching in the games already, though.

I don't think I'm breaking any rules with this since I have nothing to do with the site, just spreading what I found. He has some nice pics, including Gallagher.

I've actually posted pictures from other Cub-related web sites; nothing wrong with posting the link.

I thought there was a reason why I never visited your site and will continue not to!!!! Keep your comments to yourself, "doesn't look that great" only 21 and going up against a solid line-up and I thought did pretty well considering not throwing many innings.

The name of the guy who runs BCB is Al -- he's not any of the posters in this thread. I can't speak for him (I've never met him), but he actually wrote that Sean threw well even though the box score shows 3 runs in 3 innings, and Al seems to like him judging from his posts in the comments section.

His line -- three innings, three runs, including a two-run HR by Bill Hall that skipped off the top of the wall onto the berm -- doesn't look that great, but I thought he threw well, threw strikes (walked only one), and challenged hitters.

At any rate, you can email Al through the BCB site if you want to discuss it further with him.

Is this what you are commenting on?

He was facing the Brewers' likely Opening Day lineup, and breezed through the first two innings before giving up a couple of hits in the third,

just to get it out there. I'm a huge fan of Sean, and I have absolutely nothing to do with anything on that site. Just passing along that I found some first hand minor league spring training accounts. :D

You should not get so super defensive anytime someone says something the least bit negative about sean. It's not personal, it's just someones opinion. In this case it's hardly even negative.

???

Al wasn't even harsh in what he wrote, but why are you getting so bent out of shape about it?

There's this dude called "Al." He claims that Prior's calves are small and implies that this means he uses roids.

Nevermind that Prior's calves are still massive.

edit: Sean Gallagher is a freaking stud. Anyone that disagrees is in for a rude awakening. I can't wait for da man's first ML start.
