My impression is Murton is seriously being considered for the #2 spot. I know its early but after hearing what lou wants out of the spot is a patient hitter who can hit deep in the counts so as to give Soriano good opportunities to steal a base that sure sounds like Murton fits those requirements.

 

Izzy is not in the 2 spot today and Murton is sitting. Im leaning heavily that #2 is Matts spot.

We'll all laugh in a couple months about how worried we were. It will seem so obvious. If anything, Jones is a lot closer to the #2 spot than Izturis.
