25 pitches, 12 strikes for Prior in the first. He missed high with his fastball consistently. They don't have gun readings on the board, so I don't know what the velocity is.

Can't you just count the time it takes from his release point to the catcher's mitt and then do the math to calculate?

Kinkade v Batista

Strike taken (0-1)

Foul (0-2)

And now suddenly it's 2-2 because they're just talking.

Radar has been turned off.

3-2? I can't follow this.

Popped up on infield for the final out.

Cedeno v Batista

Ball (1-0)

Ball (although time was asked, but not granted 2-0)

Ball (3-0)

4 PITCH WALK?!?!

2 walks in 2 days. Building on his improved-patience at the end of the VWL?

Cedeno can take a walk. He just didn't dare do it under Baker's watchful eye.

It sounded to me like Prior was just over-throwing when he was in the game. They never told velocity readings, but that is the feeling that I got listening to the announcers.

"Well they don't have to change their license plate frames very often"

SHUT THE F--- UP A--HOLE!!!!!!!!!

Huh, what did I miss?

The Mariners announcers were harping on the Cubs futility and noting that a lot of the cars in the parking lot had Cubs license plate frames that say "Wait until next year". Their comment was "A lest they don't have to change them very often".

Yeah, that joke doesn't get old. As if the Mariners have had a lot of success in their history.

I hope the young players are getting the "Walks are good" lesson. We might not fully reap the benefits for a couple years. Then again, our future position players probably aren't in our system.

LOL, I missed that. The repeated reminders of our futility is disgusting.

In other news, the announcer faked me out on that foul ball/fake homer call.

"Long drive down the left field line...waaaaay back....and that baby wiiiiiiiilllll beeee........foul"

Any bets that either Prior or Wood come out of this game feeling " sore" ?

Let's not even talk about it.

Prior v. ?

God would these guys just call the game.

Larry Rothschild goes to say what's up with Prior.

Rope hit to the wall, Johjima goes to 3B. Mike Morris Double.
