nice, if true. yesterday there was no evidence of video coverage on that schedule.

MLB.com has just been remarkably, pathetically bad at letting subscribers & potential subscribers know what the heck is going on. You have to scrounge around to find a broadcast schedule and even then you can't be certain that the schedule is accurate.

So is it on MLB.TV or not?

Do you subscribe? Then you can tell me! :)

It wasn't on the MLB.tv schedule before today and neither the Cubs or the Mariners are broadcasting it, so I don't think it is. I suppose they could try something new and set up webcams or something to stream it ... which would be the first I've heard of MLB doing that.

I don't get a paycheck from MLB, though, so I'm guaranteein' nuthin'!

Did anyone else see the front page article on the cubs.com site that says you can watch the game on mlb.tv? I didn't think this game was going to be available on mlb.tv but if it actually is I am definitely going to have to skip class to watch it.

why thank you.

When did that happen? It wasn't listed as video the whole time. Hey I'm not arguing, but I'm skeptical, because it's mlb.tv.

They've pulled this garbage before. It may not be a bait and switch, just pure incompetence.

Yup, that's what I'm talking about. This could be a bait and switch deal. If anyone wants to buy it they can wait until I see if there's really video...

I think it would be pretty odd for them to pull a bait and switch with this spring training game. How many people could they possibly sucker in? 20, 50, 100? The total number of MLBTV subscribers is pretty low, which means the number of Cubs fans are pretty low, and the number willing to sign up on any given day all that much lower. I wouldn't put it past MLB, given their "screw the fan" mentality. But there just isn't any realistic benefit.

I don't think the number of subscribers is low and if it is, it won't be for too long because the non DirecTV people will need a place to watch out of market games.

I hope it is on MLB.TV but I've seen games listed already this ST that were suppose to be televised only to have no tv link at gametime. This game was not originally scheduled for TV. Unless MLB sent some cameras, or convinced the Mariner's to broadcast it, I don't think it will be available.

The only reason why I used "bait and switch" is because I have my doubts about this broadcast and MLB.com is doing everything they can to publicize it on it's homepage by using Prior and Wood's images and a link for MLB.tv. Again, I hope it is on TV.

They did that twice last season, to my knowledge.

It was probably just some idiot not in the know making a mistake.

I do see that the link has been activated. Whether or not it actually shows anything come game time is still up in the air.

I've ordered the $90 package the last couple seasons and I've been real happy with it. My only complaints are the weekend Fox & ESPN blackouts. The free MLB radio really helps these problems. My question is: Is it worth the $30 upgrade to premium? Has anyone noticed a difference? I have wireless cable broadband, if that makes a difference.

OK, somebody else figure this out. Now, Pie is hitting first and playing CF. Pagan bats second and plays right. Cedeno bats seventh and is at short. Coats is out.

Thanks Bruce. Is Buck ill or did Lou just decide against him?

Thanks. I downloaded a 24 episode from iTunes and it was almost HD quality. My only concern is maintaining that in real time.
