Ah, it's Ben Howard pitching.

"There aren't too many CY Young awards in this guys future".

wow.....nice. These two guys are trash.

The announcers just said Prior was only throwing 83-85. Lets hope that is very wrong.

Holy smokes. I just cant believe that.

How long does it take for full velocity to come back? Where's Will Carroll when you need him? I can't imagine anyone is throwing 100 mph already. Samardjiza hit 97, didn't he?

Hey, how fast was Prior throwing today? Anyone hear anything from the announcers?

I think someone posted that he was throwing 83-85 mph.

Man, another hard hit ball. Whoever is in there is getting rocked.

I hope this isn't Lilly. I thought he was to follow Prior?

It's ben Howard

Since they had to bring Prior out in the middle of the inning, that changed their plans-they are not going to put Lilly in during the middle of an inning.

Well, it's not like our pitchers are proving them wrong.

Another warning track shot...

The good Mark Prior died a few years ago. He is buried with the black Michael Jackson.

And the sober Cubs fan?

Hey it ridiculous right? So is thinking a guy who has as much rust as Prior coming out throwing harder than he did at his absolute best. He just needs to keep improving.

I hate it when they talk about the 300 million dollars, it makes us sound like the yankees. That's spread out over a ton of years.

One of my biggest pet peeves is hearing people say the Cubs (or any team) spent "X" dollars this offseason. They didn't spend $300million, they committed to $300m worth of contracts. Any one of them could be traded to another team before next season, in which case the Cubs wouldn't be spending that money. It's just a way for people to sensationalize the story. The Cubs went from about a $100m payroll to about a $115m payroll this year.

It's only one start, but AAA looks to be in Prior's future.

It makes me wonder why Prior's throwing sessions were so early in the morning before everyone showed up.

You'd think they wouldn't have him pitch when it's colder out...

That's probably why the stadium radar gun has been turned off.

I'm usually level headed but I'm not gonna lie, I'm worried about Prior! Luckily we have other candidates... Hopefully he can get better by Opening Day because I still want him in the rotation.
