2007 Spring Training NOW WITH PICTURES thread

No..I don't have pictures yet, but I started this thread last year and it went over pretty well. This thread will be a place to post any and all pictures from spring training... Cubs and/or any other team. We won't have Glendon the Gut this year...I'm guessing Eyre will be the one to have added a few pounds... Edited February 15, 2007 by moorecg

I'm not so sure that they will have guys out of shape like they did when Dusty had his country club going. Lou may want the players to be in shape.

The extra weight does not help keep the players healthy and we all know the Cubs have had a problem with the DL. I've heard Wood also has shed some pounds.

how much contact has lou actually had with the players? i'm imagining a strongly worded memo: attn fat players, dusty's not here anymore, show up to camp in shape.

I think so and if he has that is a very good sign and a good start for trying to stay healthy.

I think so and if he has that is a very good sign and a good start for trying to stay healthy.

Last I'd heard on the Score, Wood had lost 30 pounds.

The thing is, I could really see the Cubs doing that as a photo-op and never actually have him use the ball.

was listening to sullivan on mully and hanley and he said that mark prior ran right by him and out onto the field--and that he didn't "look injured".

I'd love to see them go through their practice drills.

I'm not sure they work out much on the first reporting day. I think it's more like a check-in and that workouts will begin tomorrow.
