who would have imagined the Colts Defense stepping up in this game, they've done a wonderful job so far.

 

It doesnt matter how bad your defense is if you know exactly what the opposing team is going to do its not too hard to stop them. The Chiefs are really making it easy for them. They need to do some more play action and more passes on 1st and 2nd down.

 

I disagree. You still have to execute.

I think the Colts have known for a few weeks what teams were going to try to do offensively against them and they weren't able to do anything about it. They allowed 153 yards rushing to Ron Dayne so to hold Larry Johnson to 15 yards through most of the first half is quite the accomplishment.

Well, I think it's safe to say I'm going to lose my O/U wager for this game.

 

I wouldn't be so sure-the Denver game for example was Denver 14, Colts 6 at halftime-at the end, it was Colts 34, Denver 31. The Colts have been a 2nd half team all year long.

lol, the afc is good? this game is pitiful. looks like two 6-10 teams

 

Yeah, just ignore a season of dominance by AFC teams over the NFC in favor of one ugly game between two AFC teams.

I'm happy with the first half. Manning threw two terrible passes (one of those was a miscommunication) but otherwise the offense was ok, and I'm not worried about them longterm.

The defense was amazing-if they can play anything like that in the second half and possibly beyond, the offense will come at least somewhat back to normal.

 

Again-I'm very happy. The team made plenty of mistakes in the 1st half, but there are some very encouraging signs in there.

I guess Peyton and Marvin just stop speaking the same language in the playoffs-that's 2 INT's possibly that are simply miscommunications between QB and receiver.

I'd like to see just the two of them on tape and see what happens during games like this. I do think the key is to put pressure on Manning.
