Sanders is not practicing like usual. I don't think he's been at practice once at TC yet. I wish he'd get off the board and on to the field before the playoffs this time. :D

I would like to petition for either davhern (5-1) or Southpaw19 (7-1) to be moved to the top of the list to hopefully jumpstart a Cubs winning streak. because this losing thing has to stop now.

So, I've decided to suck it up and go to the game tonight. Go ahead and pay the ridiculous they're asking outside the park. I'm in a bad mood and the cubs could either make that much better or much worse. I'll risk it.

 

anyway, in the event that we lose tonight, I wont be home anytime remotely early enough to start a gamethread, so someone else plz spot start for me.

Sorry about the game thread confusion, but I think it's sorted out now. Flames is the current starter; davhern's on deck; and down the stretch if someone misses their start, they get to wait 'til next year for their next game thread start.

I got one start in May when the team was losing everything and I'm almost up again, so I'm biased against the idea. I don't know how it was done in 03.

I remember lurking on this board in '03 and I'm pretty sure it was done how Sword said

There wasn't a game thread forum in '03. People would start game threads in discussions. In '04 the game thread starters with the best records did the final few weeks of the season. I moved all the game threads here that I could find from '03 (including all the playoff threads), but the automatic database pruning wiped the old posts out.

 

I'm in favor of just sticking with the order that we have established, but am open to other ideas.
