Giants signed first basmean Ryan Klesko, who had been with the Padres, to a one-year contract.

Klesko turned 35 in June, so he now fits the Giants' minimum age requirement. If healthy, he'd be a substantial upgrade over Rich Aurilia at first base against righties. The Giants, though, probably won't go with a platoon right away. They've suffered through way too much of Lance Niekro the last couple of years even though they've had better options against righties.

Hey, the Giants just got younger.

and the Padres just got a Sandwich first round draft choice.

Klesko was rated higher than a "C"? He sure hasn't played much baseball the last 3 years.

Speaking of San Fran, has Moises landed with a team?

Are you talking about Moises Alou? If you are he landed in New York with Mets.

But I did hear, the Giants are interesting in signing Felipe to be the starting 3rd baseman, tho.

Would it be wrong for me to suggest that the San Fran football team switch names with the San Fran baseball team?

San Francisco 49ers would be quite fitting for the baseball team these days. :D

Then again, people would get confused when:

The San Fransisco Giants would take on the New York Giants.

Nonetheless, the San Fransisco 49ers would be SO appropo for the baseball team.

You'd think the Giants would realize that a team of guys in their mid 30s to early 40s that are mostly running (if running at all) on their last legs is a bad idea. Then they go and sign Dave Roberts, Bengie Molina, and Ryan Klesko.

At least they're consistant!
