Jose Macias-3B-Cubs Dec. 7 - 12:18 am et

Jose Macias, who spent last year in Japan, could join the Nationals on a minor league contract.

Macias hit .229/.264/.344 in his lone season in Japan, which is actually better than he did with the Cubs in 2005. He's not even close to being a decent major leaguer, but the Nationals could sign him and perhaps carry him, if they move one of their middle infielders.

i was horrified when i was looking at roto and saw this.

that's because all i saw at first was "Jose Macias-3B-Cubs," and i thought hendry felt bad about getting rid of dusty's toys and thought he'd bring one back for old times sake.
