Alex Cora's two-year deal with the Red Sox is worth $4 million.

So much for the thought the Red Sox might be getting a discount by giving him a multiyear deal. That's just too much money for a utilityman who hasn't hit in two years. Along with his $2 million salary, Cora can earn $1 million a year in performance bonuses: $250,000 each for 110, 120, 130 and 140 games started.
