Chris Young (the second AZ says he's available)

Carlos Quentin/Conor Jackson (if AZ does one of them instead of Young)

Chirs Snyder (catcher that can hit)

Scott Hairston (hmm)

Iwamura (Japanese 2B that could be similar to Giles)

Other Japenese pitcher I can't remember (Igawa?)

If even one of these guys somehow end up on this team I think I'd be the happiest man alive. I really don't see why we haven't gone after Church and Burrell like...hardcore by now.

 

And if the Braves feel like Kelly Johnson just doesn't fit, fine with me. The guy has talent, should be able to handle 2B, and has a nice little track record in the minors.

I think Scott Hairston will hit well. The question is, where can he play defensively. He's awful at second, and I don't know how well he plays the outfield.

 

I'd imagine he could be quite an excellent 4th OF in 2007 while continuing to learn how to transition to the OF from 2b (if indeed defense is an issue). Seems as though the DBacks have soured on him combined with the fact that they have amazing young OF talent that makes him quite expendable. Good news is that hes destroyed the minors in his entire career, bad news is that the last three of those have been AAA. We should be able to get him for one of our stalled arms.

Nah, I just don't have class on Fridays and a buddy of mine came in from out of town. My sobriety (or lack thereof) was out of my hands tonight...

 

On a side note, I type really well when I've been drinking. Granted, it takes a whole lot longer, but it still usually comes out fairly nice.
