I'm getting sick of holding my breath at the end of every run or run after the catch, though..

people go different ways with this. I agree with the decision. you can't assume your defense is going to throw a shutout the rest of the game. that automatic one can be very valuable down the road.

What's the point? If you don't get the 2, you're down 24-19 and if you were then to get a TD without allowing the Bears to score, you'd only be up by 2 and not 3 where they could kick a FG to potentially win it. It's too early to be going for 2 when there's a whole other quarter to play.

Still too early maybe? That's my guess.

 

because if they don't make it and the bears kick a field goal, they are down 8? Going for two doesn't make a lot of sense before the last 5-10 minutes of the game. unless you do it every time.

Exactly. Bears kick a FG, and now the Giants need a PAT to tie instead of 2.

And yet, if a FG is all they get the rest of the game, that can be the difference. I can see both sides. Probably depends on your confidence in the RZ. With Jacobs, I'd have probably gone for 2.
