Nomar reinjures quadriceps

Ok, I know it's not technically a transaction, but there's been discussion in the past about possibly bringing Nomar back, but it still seems like the guy is pretty injury prone. Of course it's also the end of a long season...just thought it was worth consideration.

That's too bad. I was hoping he would come up big in the playoffs. I'm really not interested in bringing him back though.

My only interest in Nomar would be if Ramirez walks. Right now, I'd prefer not to consider that possibility.

Depending who you have to back up that injury prone player, I'd take a guy like Nomar on my team. That goes for JD Drew as well.

So what? The Cubs did not make the playoffs with "injury prone" Nomar here. Also, I remember the Red Sox playing much much better after they got rid of him and he wasn't even part of the playoffs for them so how is that a factor?

I think if healthy there is no doubt Nomar will help the team win. I agree with you there but to use the Red Sox as reasoning of them going to the World Series, I just don't see it because they were playing better without him.

If Aramis leaves I wouldn't sign any fragile geezers like Nomar for 2007. I'd only acquire vets who could help us contend in 2008. Unfortunately Hendry has to field a contender in 2007 to save his job.
