That's too bad. I was hoping he would come up big in the playoffs. I'm really not interested in bringing him back though.

Pass on Nomar. No more injury prone players. As much as I like the guy, I don't want him in a Cubs uniform.

Boston went to a World Series in a year that "injury prone" Nomar played for them.

The Dodgers went to the playoffs in a year that "injury prone" Nomar played for them.

Depending who you have to back up that injury prone player, I'd take a guy like Nomar on my team. That goes for JD Drew as well.

They could platoon in right for the Cubs then!

So what? The Cubs did not make the playoffs with "injury prone" Nomar here. Also, I remember the Red Sox playing much much better after they got rid of him and he wasn't even part of the playoffs for them so how is that a factor?

So what?

So what? I never said you had to agree with me. It is my opinion that having a guy like Nomar only helps or benefits your team.

I think if healthy there is no doubt Nomar will help the team win. I agree with you there but to use the Red Sox as reasoning of them going to the World Series, I just don't see it because they were playing better without him.

To each his own I guess. Plus, where would you play Nomar on the Cubs? Not trying to be argumentative, just wondering where he would fit in since he obviously couldn't play 1B with DLee there.

Who plays 3rd if Aramis leaves?

I'd take Nomar at SS over Izturis and Cedeno, also.

If Aramis leaves I wouldn't sign any fragile geezers like Nomar for 2007. I'd only acquire vets who could help us contend in 2008. Unfortunately Hendry has to field a contender in 2007 to save his job.
