This thread is about as poor as the Cubs---wrong date, no useless stats of the day, etc.

We need to help Fred when he is down, so everyone post a useless stat of the day. Mine:

The Chicago Cubs National League Baseball Club

Well I guess technically that's not a stat, but it is useless.

I've had this idea for a sign when the Cubs play the Dodgers at Wrigley.

Brett Tomko plays for the Dodgers and he is an avid and passionate painter in his spare time. In fact, he sometimes auctions off his original pieces to benefit charity. I say we go to one of his auctions and win the biggest painting up for auction. We then take a red marker and defile it with the words "Don't Quit Your Day Job" and then purchase seats right behind home plate for the Dodgers series, so that if he does pitch in the series, we can hold it up for all to see.

You should focus your efforts on distracting good pitchers.

Anderson homered to right field , Drew scored

Crappy Gameday. It just said "in play, no outs recorded" and then it was suddenly a 2-run homer.

That's probably because the ball hit the foul pole, bounced back onto the field of play and Pagan tried to pretend that the ball was still in play.

Gotcha.

Also according to Gameday, Pagan just had 4 pitches in a row over the heart of the plate, almost dead-center, pretty much the same spot each time, and he couldn't even buy himself a hit.

Blech again.
