See this is my problem with Z....he's a great pitcher, and a great character...but can you really count on him in any particular game. Since he is still showing signs of letting adversity getting to him, its safe to say that THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE.

He also has trouble in big games, as evidenced by by his mediocre playoff performance in 2003 and his performance in some, not all, of his big games in 2004. He has also had issues in both of his opening day starts.

Z needs to come into 2007 improved. I expect better of him.

*of course this could be WBC fatigue. But that isn't hurting Jake Peavy

oh come on. in '03' he was what 21? I don't think any pitcher would get too fired up to pitch for this team right now.

Z is also interchangable with "every pitcher in the history of time" in that post.

Is Peavy throwing 120 pitches a game?

I hope Dusty doesn't take any blame for this because I'm sure it's just bad luck Z is hurt right now.

Ortiz with a 4 pitch 8th inning (88 pitches on the day). Deadbird hitters haven't done something now through 8 innings.

Not on TV in Chicago is it?
