Peoria announced a while back that reliever Ed Campusano made the MWL post-season All Star team.

Today, Boise announced that Russ Canzler (as a DH) and Jeremy Papelbon (as a reliever) made the NWL team.

Also, OF Alfred Joseph was the NWL Offensive Player of the Week last week.

Is there an actual postseason all star game, or is this just a list to honor the best players?

It's just a list to honor the best players. It's also league-wide, so it's not split between divisions or whatever.

Thanks, Dobby. From the same link:

Catcher Blake Parker and relief pitcher Taylor Parker of the Mesa Cubs were both named to the Arizona League's All-Star team.

Blake Parker's stats weren't exactly awe-inspring. Even though he missed half the AZL season, Hank Conger probably deserved to make the team as a catcher.

Apparently Ryan Harvey made the FSL All-Star team.

Eric Patterson, third baseman Scott Moore and outfielder Chris Walker all were named to the 2006 Southern League Postseason All-Star team, announced Thursday.

I'm surprised EPatt made it, I didn't think he had that great of a year at AA.

But second base isn't exactly a position of major depth in the SL.

For the record, Eric wasn't named as an all-star for second base. Eric was named the "Best Hustler" on the postseason all-star roster. Not trying to take away from Eric's season, but thought it was worth pointing out that Danny Richar from Tennessee was named postseason all-star for 2B.

Eric was named the "Best Hustler"

He'll probably get called up any day after Dusty hears that, this team needs more "hustle" ;)
