While it's justifiable to be upset with Cedeno, taking the bat out of the hands of Barrett and Murton is bad strategy.

 

I'd rather have Barrett and Murton due up with runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs than Cedeno up with the bases loaded and 1 out.

Barrett hasn't exactly been Johnny Bench lately. I can't get too upset w/ a sac bunt in the top of the 9th, when 1 run more than likely will win the ballgame.

Except that, even if you want to focus on Barrett's numbers from the last few days, he's one of the best hitters in the NL this year. And he didn't necessarily need to get a hit to move the runners over. And a Barrett sac bunt almost guarantees an intentional walk to Murton.
