From the Philadelphia Daily News:

"Add the Giants' Felipe Alou to the list of managers who could be fired at the end of the season. Some early speculation on who might replace him includes Cubs broadcaster (and former Diamondbacks manager) Bob Brenly and Braves special assistant (and former Phillies manager) Jim Fregosi."

Should we care?

We should care that Hendry might see Alou as an appropriate replacement to Baker.

I doubt it. Alou hasn't been near as succesful recently as Baker was right before being hired by the Cubs.

I don't know anything about Fregosi other than he used to manage the Phils. Anyone got the lowdown on him?

Excellent guy, regarded as a very good manager and well respected baseball man.

I may be biased though, considering he is good friends with my family.
