I'm going to the gym and then dinner in West LA, that's probably it for updates until maybe the very end of the Boise game. Hopefully someone can take over for the non-Jaxx games - I think we have a suitable replacement for that one (:D).

Also, please vote for the 2006 Minor League Player of the Year. Polls close in a little over 4 hours and Sean Gallagher currently has a 4 vote lead over Donnie Veal.

EPatt and Kopitzke are along for the ride on the Resto-bomb. 7-3 New Orleans. Mike Garcia is pitching in relief for the I-Cubs.

Gallagher done. 5 2/3 innings of work four runs to this point (runner at second is his responsibility) eight hits three walks and eight strikeouts. He threw 107 pitches.

Gallagher's fiinal line: 5 2/3IP 4R 4ER 8H 3W 8K 107 pitches he also surrendured a three run homer. He could lose the game as the Jaxx are down 4-2 entering the 7th inning.

I'm voting for Scott Moore. He has been the best player on the Diamond Jaxx squad this season.

Jaxx down 4-2 entering the bottom of the eighth inning.

Thanks, Ron.

I-Cubs trail 10-3 in the 8th.

Daytona leads 4-1 in the 4th. Chris Robinson hit a 2-run HR. Harvey has a double and 2 RBIs.

Peoria lost 7-1. Chirinos HRed.

Renshaw gave up 3 in the 1st (2 earned). Canzler drove in his 55th run in the top half.

Huseby has given up 2 runs through 1 so far. Mesa trails 2-1.

And Gallagher leads 36-32.

Pie finishes 2-5 with a double, but the I-Cubs lose . Epatt went 1-5.

Daytona still leads 4-1.

Renshaw has now given up 5 runs, but apparently none are earned.

Huseby has given up 4 runs now through 3.

Nooooooooo!

Guess I shouldn't mentioned that opposition slugging pct. Mobile did stack the lineups with lefties, which will happen until the splits go down.

Harvey with a nice night.

Daytona hangs on to win 4-2. Johnson picked up the win in relief of Bronder.

Boise lost 7-3. Just 3 hits for the Hawks. Renshaw's final line: 4 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 1 HR

Mesa wins 6-4. Heredia, Castillo, Vanderhook, Rosario, and Inoa all had multi-hit games. Huseby's final line: 3 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 1 K

Marco Carrillo is hot hot hot hot!

With today's outing, his ERA is at 1.73, his WHIP at .96, his K/9 at 7.34, his BB/9 at 2.16, and his HR/9 at .65. I'll add that he's doing this as a 19 year old in the AZ League.

I reeeeeeeeeeeeally want to know what he throws. If this guy projects to have even halfway decent stuff down the road, he could be fun to watch.

The only hope for the Jaxx is to have Chattanooga win the second half.
And the irony of that is that the Jaxx end the season with a five game series against Chattanooga. They may be in a position where losing would put them in the playoffs but winning would knock them out.
