Come on, Newcastle. ONE TIME.

Tottenham's 72 points would have been good enough for fourth in 15 of the 17 EPL seasons played with 20 teams.

It would have been nice to see Arsenal having to respond to a 1st half Spurs goal; unfortunately Andre Marriner had a terrible, terrible day at the office.

AVB outthought himself by pulling Clint (good in the air) for Defoe (member of the lollipop guild). Spurs lost all their attacking momentum and had to rely on Bale pulling one out again.

Oh well. Thus ends a aggravating year of following Spurs.

Where do you guys think Bale ends up next year?

Real Madrid. I think they throw stupid money and maybe a player at Spurs.

At least I got one more wondergoal from Bale. Too bad it wasn't enough to send them to the UCL. I was thinking midway through the second half, when Tottenham was dominating and couldn't score, that it would be fitting if he scored another late winner from long range.

My dad thinks Bale stays at Tottenham next year mainly because he's under contract through 2016. Selfishly, I hope he's right. I bet they put a crazy number out there, something like 60M pounds, and if a team meets it, they'll sell. Similar to what they did with Modric last year.

In related news, Mourinho officially out at Real Madrid. He's spent 2 1/2 years at Porto, 3+ years at Chelsea (left a month into his fourth year), 2 years at Inter and 3 years at Real Madrid. So wherever he ends up, we can expect him at a new place in 2017.

They make it sound like back to Chelsea is all but a done deal.

I could see some teams biting at 60 million for Bale, PSG comes to mind. I would be ok with Wenger doing that.

Real Madrid fans would have been disappointed with anything other than 3 straight La Ligas and Champions Leagues.

Their roster is a mix of really talented players and veteran clubhouse lawyers.
