That's a damn shame, especially if he's retiring because he doesn't want to deal with being out as an athlete.

Never thought he was senior NT materiel, but I did like him in MLS.

Nope, and I think that's intentional on his part.

Btw, guys, this dude on twitter (@everytouchfooty) puts together cuts of every touch a yank abroad has in a televised game. It's [expletive] great stuff.

Check it out.

LOL Brasil. The only thing that will be better than the people in the favela's figuring out they're getting screwed by FIFA's ExComm and their own government will be how the country reacts when they got knocked out in the R16 and Neymar gets exposed for the overrated show pony he is.

They knew this would be a massive problem 4 years yet they still couldn't avoid it. Argentina would have been a better choice over Brazil.

Curious to see Arsenal and Wenger today after getting eliminated from yet another trophy on Saturday.

Bayern is a much, much better team. Bayern would win the Premiership pretty easily.

Oh I know they are that just why I even more pissed about Saturdays loss. Arsenal can compete basically for the FA Cup and Capital One Cup and that's it. Tottenham have passed them up finally and they will still finish 4th and go nowhere next season again.

Hey, guess what? Marc Pelosi, probably in our top 3 of youth prospects in Liverpool's reserves, got his leg straight shattered by some dumb jackass Englishman.

So in case anyone was wondering if this cycle could get worse, there are new levels of bad to plumb yet.

Hazard scores on the last kick of the game to give Chelsea a 2-1 aggregate win today. Newcastle advanced with a 1-0 road win today while Liverpool beat Zenit 3-1 but got bounced on away goals.

Tottenham gets Inter in the Round of 16, first leg will be in London. Newcastle will face Anzhi Makhachkala, going on the road for the first let. Chelsea will also be on the road in the first leg and will face the winner of Ajax/Steaua Bucuresti (2-2 aggregate going to extra time).

Wish Dallas would make a move for Adu, since he doesn't really seem interested in playing out of the country.

He apparently wants to move to a big, first-division in Europe where no one wants him.
