Also, Spurs need to win today and Clint needs to play a strong game.

Deuce is benching it today.

Balls. Deserved, based on the Southampton game, but balls nonetheless.

I've watched a bunch of Tottenham this year but maybe somebody like soccer10k who's watched/follower more than me will disagree with this: there's no way a bad game vs Southampton means Lewis Holtby, let alone Adebayor deserve the nod over Deuce.

First, Holtby has done nothing. Second, Adebayor is god awful. Clint should start over those guys based on production alone.

Clint plays really, really well against Chelsea. Always has. I think AVB is over-thinking this one.

AVB does that. I'm not surprised he's doing that in a must win game on the road against his old club.

Holtby and Adebayor both suck, in my opinion. Siggy and Clint should be in there instead.

I posted a simple note, just to put a little context around the scale of it, nothing more.

And then I said all but 3 starters, so we agree, as in, yes 8 people died, you are correct and I am now implying that even though I hadn't clarified starters rather than the possibility of only three out of every salaried and amateur Man U player having died (which would be a much larger number than 8), that's actually what I meant.

You then sniped back with a remark of "11-8=3", which is obviously an oversimplification.

This is something that never happened.

Quit being a dick.

Quit being a dick? How about you quit interpreting things that are innocuous as aggressive assaults against you?

Agreed, and I'm not taking any umbrage with that at all. In fact I went out of my way to say so.

You just took umbrage with things that either didn't happen or things you interpreted as me being a dick for absolutely no reason.

Your assessment is accurate.

I'm choosing to assume AVB is setting Clint up to come on midway through second half (which he'll almost certainly do, especially if Tottenham is losing), give the team a spark and score the winner.

Pretty pissed that Adebayor is starting over Defoe. Happy to see Lennon in the starting lineup, though. Hopefully he can be effective.

Juan Agudelo traded from Chivas to New England for allocation money. There's got to be a reason this keeps happening which is troubling.

Aside from Chivas being right up there with the Marlins as just the worst, it's probably because he's fricking made of glass. Perpetually injured.

Outstanding goal from Adebayor. Not sure where he pulled that from.

Dempsey or Defoe for Holtby. DO IT, AVB.

That was a great game. Either team could have won but I thought a draw was a pretty fair result. Chelsea and Arsenal control their own destinies while Tottenham will need some help. The difference now is Tottenham doesn't need Arsenal to lose, just draw a game (which wouldn't have been the case had they not got the equalizer).

Adebayor played easily the best game of the year. It's a shame he doesn't play like that all the time.

Forbes estimates that of the 3.5 billion ManU is worth today, $385 million was created by Ferguson. Personally I think that's a little low.

So that was quick. ManU hires Moyes.

I thought Klopp was a really intriguing candidate considering his ability to build an elite squad on a budget as well as his success in Europe relative to Moyes' but I've gotta say, I really like David Moyes and I think it's cool a great coach gets this opportunity after paying his dues. Well deserved.

I'm pretty sure it means they're in and AZ can release Jozy for nat camp. That's what Leander Schaarlaekens was tweeting earlier anyway.

Yeah, they're in Europa playoffs automatically now.

Tuesday's Wigan-Arsenal game should be fun.

Wigan has to win because they're four points back of Sunderland and 11 worse on the goal differential so even a draw would mean they're all but out (unless they expect to make up 11 goals on the final weekend). Arsenal needs to win also because a loss or a draw means they'd need Tottenham to blow the game against Sunderland next weekend.

Elsewhere, Everton finished above Liverpool in the table in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1937.

Grant Wahl reporting that Klinsmann won't be calling Donovan into camp for June qualifiers.

Hmm.

He's been wrong before. Better be wrong now. Then again I don't doubt Klinsmann to pull [expletive] like this to prove a point.

As dumb as I think JK is, I do not believe he's made up his mind 3 weeks before qualifiers that Landon Donovan isn't a better option than Graham Zusi.

In other news, Wigan are relegated and Spurs remain 5th; they're away to Newcastle and have to lose and Spurs have to win this weekend to finish 4th.

Arsenal draw and Spurs win would also be enough. As an Arsenal fan I am getting tired as [expletive] as watching them suck for half of a season only to get hot and finish 3rd or 4th. Would rather Clint get a shot in the CL.
