Until Roman has the guts/humility to hire a manager with the gravitas and absolute authority to usher out Terry, Lampard and Cole and start rebuilding in earnest without veterans in the locker room who think they run the team, they'll be hiring and firing every two years like clockwork. Why would Mourinho come back to deal with Abramovich's crazy ass, though? If he comes back to the EPL it has to be Citeh, right?

 

And you're right; he's already burned through most of the guys you'd think that would have the heft to complete the overhaul; Jose, Ancelotti, Scolari...I'm at a loss as to who is left?

 

Also, ironic that their biggest CL successes came under Grant and Di Matteo.

Clint looked good as he always does when he has his share of the ball. Spurs still can't build up play from the midfield and can't score when they aren't on the fast break.

Tottenham look much stronger than Liverpool so far. Clint already played a clever give and go to Lennon who's first touch (sprinting too fast to handle it) let him down on a goal opp. Defoe also took an easier rebound off of Dempsey's boot because he's a super dumb player. Bale is killing Liverpool on the left and crosses to Lennon for a goal 1-0.

This is clearly Tottenham's best lineup if you replace Sandro w/Parker.

Liverpool mistake at the back gives Tottenham a great chance but Defoe knocks Dempsey off the ball when Dempsey was clearly in the better position to take the shot.
