That was a beautiful look from Adu to Donovan on the goal. And Adu had another nice ball to Bradley about 10 minutes later...Bradley should have shot that one.

 

I'm so pumped! Going to be at the Rose Bowl Saturday.

Gio dos Santos barely misses on a breakaway and then a Honduras player nearly went Jozy v Guadeloupe on Mexico.

 

And now the Mexico GKer is red card hunting, going down like he was shot after getting bumped into on a corner.

Damn, that was quick.

 

If the dope who was on the post actually stayed there, that header would have hit in in the chest or stomach. He started moving forward while the corner kick was still in the air and was three or four yards off the line when the header came.

 

EDIT: Not that it would have mattered since the ball was over his head, but he also flinched/ducked a bit when the ball came at him.

This is a good week for anniversaries of great US soccer victories.

 

June 21, 2009 beat Egypt 3-0 to advance in Confederation's Cup

June 23, 2010 beat Algeria 1-0 to win group in World Cup

June 24, 2007 beat Mexico 2-1 to win Gold Cup

June 24, 2009 beat Spain 2-0 to advance to final in Confederation's Cup

 

Hopefully the team can add another one on Saturday.

Why aren't any of these games on any even remotely mainstream channels? I'd love to watch, but I don't get any of the games.
