Nice marking by the Germans and they're lucky Ramos didn't put that one in. Spain has two men in the box on the free kick compared to 6 for Germany and Ramos gets a free header.

So many teams would have packed it in by now and yet Spain just continues to attack and generate quality chances. Obviously not with as many players at earlier but with less than 10 minutes on the clock, a majority of the teams would be in an all-out defend mode.

I wouldn't want to pack it in against Germany, they are too good off set pieces, too big, too physical. Plus Spain are getting great chances.

I wouldn't either but if this was Italy holding a 1-0 lead, there isn't a chance in hell they would be generating the kinds of chances Spain is right now. Spain doesn't seem to have changed much at all in their style of play and they're dominating Germany right now. The Germans are barely even getting the ball across midfield and when they do, Spain wins it and brings it back up.

The best team won this match. Spain just out-played Germany today and they deserved this championship. Ballack was completely non-existent and had a pretty disappointing match. As were Schweinsteiger and Podolski.

That's for sure. The big 4 for Germany did nothing today and Lahm/Lehmann had a huge f-up that cost them the Championship. Too bad.
