Here's a stat for you:

That's the 2nd straight year a Cardinals catcher hit his 1st of the year against the Cubs at Wrigley. Can anyone name last year's catcher?

One of the Flying Molinas Brothers?

NOVOA SUCKS! WHy is Baker infatuated with this guy when we all know he sucks? JEEZ

He would have been fine if Dusty just pulled him after two. Don't know why you try and get a middle reliever to go that long the day after an off day.

I want to re-visit this. Why in the HELL was Marmol taken out so early? He gave up three ER in three innings. And no walks. Walks have killed him this year, and in a start where he was showing good control, Dustbag takes him out after giving up three runs?! What the hell

Hey man we're still in this thing - this is no time to be worrying about some rook's confidence!!

The only explanation I got is injury. Otherwise, Dusty was just trying to be cute in a desperate attempt to beat LaRussa with some crazy strategy because he felt his bullpen was all rested up.

It's called Baker-logic. Too bad his logic is only understood by him and nobody else. The key to decrypt his logic was stolen by Hank Aaron and never recovered.

...and The Hammer had it stolen from him by the two kids chasing him when he hit #715.

Oh, did you know, when Henry hit that home run Dusty was in the on deck circle (probably chewing his toothpick).
