At least the Cubs got beat by a starting pitcher with a good ERA or not.

You're such a pessimist, it's not over.

You're right. (as I reach over and grab my book of Yogisms and recite.....it's not over til' it's over, it's not ever til' it's over)

I want to re-visit this. Why in the HELL was Marmol taken out so early? He gave up three ER in three innings. And no walks. Walks have killed him this year, and in a start where he was showing good control, Dusty takes him out after giving up three runs?! What the hell

It's called Baker-logic. Too bad his logic is only understood by him and nobody else. The key to decrypt his logic was stolen by Hank Aaron and never recovered.

...and The Hammer had it stolen from him by the two kids chasing him when he hit #715.

Oh, did you know, when Henry hit that home run Dusty was in the on deck circle (probably chewing his toothpick).

Not to be mean...but did you just find that out and need to find a way to make it relevent?

Aardsman and Novoa are absolute crap.

You take that back. I actually see the possibility for improvement with Aardsma.

Whether or not there is a chance that he can improve, it doesn't change the fact that he is crap. His ERA is about 6.

The only explanation I got is injury. Otherwise, Dusty was just trying to be cute in a desperate attempt to beat LaRussa with some crazy strategy because he felt his bullpen was all rested up.

He had a sore bicep. Dusty would not have taken him out otherwise. It was just talked about in the post game press conference.

I will be in attendance. First time I will see the Cubs since the fiasco that was my San Diego trip. First time to be in Wrigley since April 30th -- also another disaster.

The Cubs are 0-5 this year with me in the park. Go Cubs!

You're due.

Nope..... 0-6 now.... :(
