Will Carroll on Sports Central earlier tonight

I was out driving in all that rain earlier tonight when I had Sports Central on, and Kap and Waddle had Will Carroll on (he's a weekly guest on there). Anyway, they were talking about pitching, and the subjects of Prior and Wood came up. Right before a commercial, Carroll made a comment to the effect that when Wood was taken out of Game 7, he heard that something was said to Wood at that moment (by Dusty, I presume), that if it was true, in his opinion that would have been enough to finish Wood (as an effective pitcher, I guess). He then said he would ask Kaplan about it off the air. I went into the store after that, and that was all I heard. Did anyone else happen to listen to that segment, and if so, did they ever talk any more about that? I'm not sure if I believe it, although Dusty can be a jerk as we all know, but it seems if he's such a player's manager, he wouldn't disparage one of his players at a moment like that, and it seems hard to believe that Wood would be affected like that, and then turn around and sign an extension. Anybody else have an opinion on this?

I doubt its true just based on the fact that he signed that bit extension right after the season.

I don't know. But, Dusty has done some strange things at the mound like flip the "game ball" to his starter in the 7th game of the World Series...
