from hearing Hendry talk, the Dbacks would be getting a steal if we traded a "great player" like Izturis for Gonzalez.

I somewhat liked him - I'm partial to leftys as I'm one of them and Rusch had two good years here.

Coming into tonight, Mabry had faced Webb 7 times and had five hits, including a HR and a double.

 

Dusty does look at stats, but he doesn't look at sample sizes. In 7 atbats, it's possible that Mabry really hits Webb well, or it's possible that he just happened to get 5 hits.

chances are mabry had those hits late in games when webb was getting tired and his sinker flattened out a bit

I agree. Personally, I'd like to see Jones sit versus lefties and bring up Restovich to play RF versus those lefties.

 

I think Restovich has earned the right to be brought up.
