Funny how last night our ace is uncharacteristically giving up a lot of runs, but we score enough to win. Today, our pitcher has shut down the Mets, yet we can't seem to score. Someone smarter about baseball needs to tell me why this seems to happen. Just look at Clemens and his lack of run support for the second year in a row as further proof.

What is the coaching visit to the mound all about?

Take stock of how he feels. He's right around 100, probably where they wanted to pull him. I'm guessing they are letting him now he has one more guy to get it done.

I guess just to give him a rest after the groundout. And Prior walks Beltran.

98 pitches, is he coming out?

NEVAH!

After 100, the pitchometer rolls over to zero, much like in a car.

So Prior should be fine.

Probably to see how he is holding up. He has hit his likely pitch-count limit, but he has a no hitter going...there is a dilema.

With the unintentional intentional walk of Beltran it seems like a (bad) strategy meeting to me now.

And Prior done after 5 2/3 innings. And his hand is hurt? Hopefully just a cramp, but solid day overall by Prior. Like to see him decrease the walks next start, but overall good.
