Well..... let me see here..... The leadoff man is taking walks, the catcher is throwing out base runners, the outfielders are making good plays, the pitcher isn't giving up any runs, the batters have seen 4.60 P/PA...... all right, who kindnapped my CUBS ????

The pitcher is walking guys, the leadoff man got caught stealing after that walk, the Cubs only have 1 hit, guys are putting it in play for easy weak outs.

They're still here.

Just wondering how a pitcher can come into the league as a physical beast and great poise the way Prior did, and now, with little to no pressure, he has turned into a mental case who can't find the plate?

Enough with this stuff already.

Anyone got velocity updates for me?

I've only seen a few, on CSNY they are showing 92.

Prior has been inconsistent with location. They helped him a little, but that's probably because he's thrown some right down the middle as well.

No hits thru 3 against this lineup says something. Maybe not a lot, but something.

Well it's a step forward...That's all we can ask at this point I suppose.

Prior through 3 innings with no runs.

... and also no ...... uh...... er........ hit batsmen. Yeah, that's it..... No hit batsmen !!

If you are worried about the jinx, don't. He's at 53 thru 3 and would be lucky to finish 6 today.

Early in the game, Brenly said Prior's fastball was generally around 90-92, and he hasn't mentioned it since, that I can remember.

Prior has looked a lot better than his previous starts. His control is still off, thus the 3 BBs, but it isn't nearly as bad as was Friday. His pitches are missing, but they aren't out of control. His stuff is pretty good, he seems to be fooling the Mets. They haven't hit the ball very hard.

Not hitting any batters actually is a substantial achievement after Prior's last outing.
