my worst nightmare is coming true. Please, please, PLEASE don't vote for GNR! I love that band, but Floyd is the greatest.

(it's probably all you losers who voted CCR over Radiohead who are voting for GNR here.....die!)

You're the loser who ranked CCR way too low.

Not to mention ranking Radiohead too low.

Nightrain. So rockn.

Pink Floyd just doesnt float my boat that much. For as much recognition Dark Side of The Moon gets i really didnt find it all that interesting and ive been in the 'right state of mind' listening to the album. I dont really care for the use of sound effects. Now, i would be interested in going to see The Wizard of Oz with the Dark Side of The Moon in the background. A theatre where i used to live had that as a feature for couple weeks.

Paradise City video is so awesome. When i hear the first couple chords of that song on the radio i instantly turn it up. It fires me up like a rockn song should.

It's my favorite album of all time and i've never listened to it (or any other Floyd music) stoned.

And FYI, I voted for CCR and Floyd. But maybe I shouldve just voted for GNR to crush your petty dreams. :P

I thought it was pretty stupid, to be honest -- NU had a showing. You start the track and an arbitrary moment (the 3rd roar of the MGM lion) and then you are actively looking for it to match up, which makes it easier to believe, imo.

edit, but it's still a great album

agreed. I did it at home and it was entirely lame. I've heard that Echoes matches up with 2001 much better but don't have nearly enough free time to waste trying such things

I can't say I really enjoy listening to either of these bands.

Not that they aren't historically significant, I just can't stand em.

Here's the Echoes/2001 synch, pretty cool if you ask me, although I seriously doubt they did it on purpose.

Part I

Part II

Part III

How is this so close? GNR was pretty good, but they simply can't compare to the creativity and genious of Pink Floyd.

right, who has the time to mysteriously write a 23 minute song so it will synch up with an unrelated movie just so someone will figure it out years later?

I did that "in the right state of mind" as you put it and really enjoyed it.

EDIT: I voted for Pink Floyd as well.

Do you know where you are Pink Floyd?

You're in the Jungle, baby.

Time to die.

Isn't it:

You know where you are [Pink Floyd]?

You're in the Jungle, baby.

You're gonna die.
