We interviewed Gallagher when I was in West Tenn and he mentioned that he had been working with the West Tenn pitching coach (Mike Anderson) and Andy Pratt (the Daytona pitching coach) on some mechanics problems he picked up. Hoping to get the sessions up soon.

He went through a similar phase last season in Peoria after the all-star break, but ended up finishing off the season with two good starts . Maybe there's a fatigue factor that he has to work through as well. The Lookouts broadcasters mentioned he was hitting 93-94 in his last inning of work (they seemed to think that matched what they were seeing) so his velocity is still up there.

Lookouts pick up another run and lead 5-1.

Sounds like it's speculation vs. a rumor, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I think I know what the problem is.

Is it me or has Miguel Negron played better since coming to the Cubs? I know, I know he may not be as special as when he was drafted, but he is still 23 yrs, and could definately turned into a Juan Rivera type player in the pros. Or is this wishful thinking?

He has definitely played better since coming to the Cubs system. He was flat out awful with the Jays Double A team. I don't know how high his ceiling is exactly, but it is nice to see him having a good year, considering how down I was on the signing when I first heard about and when I looked at his numbers the first time.

Anything more than just a substitution?

Not that I've heard. The broadcasters were pretty fired up about it ("he's hitting .300!"). Sing was subbed out for Gary Cates later in the game, though I think that was in a doubleswitch.
