Cherry gives up an ER in the 7th, and then Lightenberg comes in and gives up a 3-run HR (2 inherited runners charged to Cherry). Iowa now down 4-3 in the middle of the 6th.

The DJaxx are up 4-1 after 6. Dopirak is 3 for 3 with a double, Moore is 2 for 3 with an RBI. Gallagher went 5.2 innings, gave up 1 ER on 5 H. He had 5 Ks but 3 BBs. Outside of one start, Sean's control has been a concern at AA.

4-1 DJaxx to the 7th. Dope 3-3 with a double so far.

Gallagher: 5.2IPs, 5H, 1R, 1ER, 5K/3BB, WP, 8GO-2FO. Left with 2 on in the 6th, Shipman got the last out.

Fox with a CS (before I tuned in) & a snap-throw PO at 1B. :)

I'm off my game tonight!

At least I didn't overlook Fox in my update.

Who cares about Fox when you've got DOPE! I'm still waiting for the Dope Slaps but it's nice to see him making contact again.

If I'm counting right the Hawks are now up 4-1 thanks to a Clevenger solo homer, Camp single, Matulia walk, Colvin 2RBI double, and an RBI double for Canzler.

Boise up 8-4 with 2 outs in the 9th. Papelbon walks in a run with the bases loaded for his first professional run surrendered. He has 3 walks in the inning.

Colvin with a good game, 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI. Lansford 2 for 5, a double and an RBI.

Petrick: 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 4 Ks, 4 BBs

Ah nuts, with three walks and a hit, Jeremy Papelbon loses his scoreless innings streak. :(

And now an RBI single. Boise leads 8-5.

Clevenger then with a beautiful leaping catch to rob a line hit for Everett. Boise wins!

Papelbon: 1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 BBs

Wow, Papelbon with a pretty terrible outing, 2 ER in 1 IP walking 3 and striking out none. And yet, his ERA is still just 1.00 and his strikeout to walk ratio is the best on the team.

Over his last 6 games, Tyler Colvin has gone 8-for-23 (.348) with 6 runs, 4 doubles, 1 HR and 9 batted in. He has struck out twice and walked once in that time. Make of it what you will.

Its still only 6 games, but he appears to have adjusted to wooden bats.

After starting the NWL season ice cold and mired in a long slump which saw his average regularly below the Mendoza line, he's gotten that up to .247 on the year...and climbing.
